A Message from Our Team

Welcome! We are the new team of Indian Oasis Middle & High School! As individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, we have come together to collaborate under the leadership of our new director, Ms. Ann Corden. Together, our team has worked to change the structure of the alternative school experience to provide each student with what he/she needs to be successful. We aim to provide a more rigorous but supportive learning community for students by putting our KOMCKUD philosophy into practice.

We will challenge students on our campus not only to "pass courses," but also to obtain Knowledge that will allow them to be successful after graduation. Our team will work hard to support the O’odham culture and identity throughout student learning, and we emphasize the importance of Mastery of self as well as academic success. Students must commit to respecting and contributing to our shared learning Community, and while our team sets high expectations, we commit to show Kindness and respect. We encourage our students to be Unstoppable and Determined in school and life, and our team looks forward to working with the parents/guardians and families, Tohono O’odham Nation departments, and the surrounding community to support our students throughout the 2018–2019 school year.

Here at the Indian Oasis campus, we are excited to provide more hands-on learning experiences and individualized attention for students in the classroom. Our team is also working to create community partnerships, such as our ongoing dual-enrollment program with the Tohono O’odham Community College, to model the importance of collaboration and to provide a wide range of opportunities for our students. The Indian Oasis Middle & High School welcomes you to come to our campus and hear about our new program. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year!
